Day 1 of My Life Adventure

Ahhh. It is a beautiful spring day here in the forest! Winter is finally over and all of my leaves have returned to me. The sun is shinning especially bright today. It feels great, giving me the energy to grow even more! I had not seen many humans walking by me lately. During wintertime I had seen a few children running here and there in their winter coats and throwing snowballs at eachother. But today there had been a group of middle aged men clustered around me. I am glad I can help shade them from the sun which was beating down on them. I heard one of the men say, "This tree is great for shade, too bad we will be cutting it down today." When he said this nothing had proccessed through my mind. I was just thrilled to be helping out! But about an hour after he had talked about me, i felt a sharp pain by the bottom of my trunk. I had seen people cut down my relatives in the past, but i had never figured it would happen to me! The pain was escrutiating! Then I was just laying there, not longer helping provide shade or being able to see people walk around, Just a big log blocking the walkway.
