Day 54 of My Life Adventure

Being processed was not as painful as I had heard. It was done quickly and I was bleached and then set out to dry in the sunshine that I love oh so much. I was then packaged up and shipped off into the world! I got to travel to all different sorts of places! I went to America, China, Europe, and even Antartica! It was such a great experience. I was used for all sorts of different functions. I was used in schools and offices most of all! I was even used to write a secret letter in class so that the teacher wouldnt notice! I may like this exciting life more than being a tree! But after my sheets were used many of them were crumppled up and throw into a green bin. I then once again visit my old home at the tree mill where my life turns boring once more.

Day 24 of My Life Adventure

I miss my old home in the forest, when I could watch everthing that was going on in the world from above. Now, I am temperarily living at the tree mill where I am bascially mush, my pulp just waiting to be pressed together. I had heard stories of this terrible process. They press together all of your pulp into thin sheets. I have never seen it done, yet I have heard it is painful. I am sure I can endure almost anything after getting chopped down 24 days ago. I have also heard that once a tree is turned into paper they are able to travel all around the world helping people accomplish their everyday tasks! It sounds like such an adventure!

Day 1 of My Life Adventure

Ahhh. It is a beautiful spring day here in the forest! Winter is finally over and all of my leaves have returned to me. The sun is shinning especially bright today. It feels great, giving me the energy to grow even more! I had not seen many humans walking by me lately. During wintertime I had seen a few children running here and there in their winter coats and throwing snowballs at eachother. But today there had been a group of middle aged men clustered around me. I am glad I can help shade them from the sun which was beating down on them. I heard one of the men say, "This tree is great for shade, too bad we will be cutting it down today." When he said this nothing had proccessed through my mind. I was just thrilled to be helping out! But about an hour after he had talked about me, i felt a sharp pain by the bottom of my trunk. I had seen people cut down my relatives in the past, but i had never figured it would happen to me! The pain was escrutiating! Then I was just laying there, not longer helping provide shade or being able to see people walk around, Just a big log blocking the walkway.

Life Cycle of Paper Description

Step 1. The trees are cut down

Step 2. The trees that have been cut down are delivered to the tree mill

Step 3. The trees are all debarked, Chipped and then turned into a pulp which is moistened and      pressed together forcing out the water

Step 4. The paper has been formed and is bleahced and dried

Step 5. The paper is packaged then sent all across the globe to be used in schools, offices, and almost everywhere

Step 6. After the paper has been used, it is then recycled where it goes back to the tree mill and then can be used again
